Superfast asm or 'machine language' routine for BASIC communication programs
Program written by Phil Katz for the IBM-PC
These programs are for FREE distribution only!
These subroutines execute about 1000X faster than equivalent
interpreted BASIC code, and several times faster than compiled
BASIC. They are designed to be used by custom or 'home brew'
type communications programs, or they can be used by programs such as
PC-TALK if PC-TALK is properly modified.
Each routine is self-documented and usage, implementation
& examples of BASIC statements that call these routines are
included in the .ASM files.
The .MRG files in this library contain the corresponding .ASM
routine that has been assembled and converted to BASIC DATA
statements so that they can be easily POKEd into memory. The
file POKEXMPL.MRG is an example of how these routines could be
poked into a unused file buffer.
